How to Reset Your Waterboy Whole-House Water Filtration System
If your Waterboy whole-house system ever stops working after a blackout or another electrical service interruption, you will lose access to all its benefits. You can get it back up and running in most cases without scheduling professional services.
Take these steps to reset its timer:
- Press and hold either the Up or Down buttons until the programming icon replaces the service icon and the parameter display reads TD.
- Adjust the displayed time with the Up and Down buttons (PM indicated when the PM icon appears near the time display).
- Press the Extra Cycle button when the desired time is set to resume normal operation. The unit will also return to normal operation after 5 seconds if no buttons are pressed.
- Whenever the valve is “in service,” the current time of day can be set. Use the Up and Down buttons to set it to the correct time (PM is indicated by a dot in the lower-right corner).
Please note the following:
* When the time is set correctly, the unit will flush at the programmed time.
* The unit’s bypass valves and information about their operation are described in the Waterboy’s user manual.
* If you receive an error message on screen, unplug the unit from its power supply, wait 15 seconds, and then plug it back in. This will reset the computerized valve.

How to Reset Your Waterboy’s Clack Control Valve
If you ever see “Err 1” appear on your Waterboy’s Clack Control Valve, take the following steps to make it disappear:
- Plug it back in, and you should see the time and date again.
- Remove the faceplate of the control valve.
- Remove the right white clip from its holder.
- Wait 30 seconds.
