Californians Exceed Drought Mandates in June

California DroughtThe San Diego Tribune reported today that in the month of June Californians have met or exceeded the water usage mandates ordered by Gov. Jerry Brown last week.

In San Diego county water dropped about 26%.  They reported that in May San Diego County water usage dropped 30% thanks in part to the wet, cool weather.  The City of San Diego beat its 16% mandate by 8%.

The article also lists statistics for Los Angeles, San Jose, the San Francisco and San Francisco bay area, and others.  June cumulative statistics for the entire state are reported to be coming soon.
